We have listed out the 4 most craziest and wackiest celebrations in Europe!
So let's start with the fourth placing which goes to ....
4) SAO JOAO FESTIVAL
It is the biggest celebration in Porto, Portugal every 23rd of June. On the eve of the celebration, the people of Porto will gather around in the streets to commemorate the birth of St. John the Baptist. The interesting part about this festival is that it includes plastic hammers plus a tiny whistle (60s tradition), and garlic flowers are placed gleefully on people's heads. Weird as it sounds, the plastic hammers are actually used to hammer other people during the event!

Ofcourse, the most that people are attracted to (especially the youngsters) is the hammering of the multicoloured plastic hammers that people use give soft blows to the heads of fellow revealers. Nobody seems to know why it is the tradition though.
Colourful paper hot-air balloons also are released all over the city and popular dances are also held in neighbourhoods.

3) COW PAINTING FESTIVAL
Every year, from April to September, Luxembourg City will be filled with multi-coloured cows! - Fake cows ofcourse :)
The city exhibits fake cows made from wood, concrete, metal and fibreglass painted by all artists and closeted artists every summer. This is the time when all the resident artists can show their creativity by showing detailed murals and some of them having a combination of colours and crazy psychedelic patterns.
These cows are placed throughout the city and it truly brightens up the whole place with the many colours painted on the cows. We sure wish that one day we could paint a cow! :D

Well, the celebration is held on the last Wednesday in August at Bunol, Spain. The
festival starts at 11.00 a.m. and end after an hour. When the sound of rocket
being fired is heard, the participants struggle to reach a ham that is placed
on a tall pole – only then they could start to throw the tomatoes. The fight
also ends with another shot being released.

| ROLL and WIN |
The festival is said to be 'evolved from a requirement for maintaining grazing rights on the common'. And other said that it is 'the pagan origin for the customs of rolling objects down the hill'. This is one silly celebration that you can ROFL (roll over floor laugh) at!
